MALLETA

This is a type of semi-woven wired rope that is designed to have a specific rolein the art of trawling the seabed.                               

The main advantage of this rope in comparison to alternatives, such as (chains, iron wire etc) is that it is less dense, thus allowing it to slide over the seabed easily without getting stuck.

Another important advantage is its longer duration than the elements described above. Tests showed excellent results in very diverse fishing conditions and types of sea floors.

We take care of the complete manufacturing process of the malleta, in this way we can adapt to the needs of each owner or owner. There are different constructions (4,5 and 6 strands) from 16mm to 80mm, always with fiber core and the galvanized steel wire can be coated with a variety of different fibers that depend on the fishing zones and the sea floor:

–Malleta Polysteel: It is specially designed to work on very abrasive marine floors.

–Malleta Multifilament Polypropylene: It is specially designed to work in marine soils not very abrasive. Absorbs water, this gives it greater density and facilitates its collapse.

–Malleta High Tenacity Polyester: It is specially designed to work in marine soils that are not very abrasive. Absorbs less water, this gives it greater density and facilitates its sinking.

–Malleta Nylon (high tenacity polyamide): It is specially designed to work in marine soils not very abrasive. Absorbs enough water, this gives it greater density and facilitates its sinking.
